The role

  • As an Account Executive your responsibilities will be split into three key areas, Internal, External, and Client.
  • To learn and understand the core elements of brand media planning and buying (including systems and tools), client business and the agencies role.
  • To contribute fully to the work of the account group in servicing designated clients
  • To support Account Manager and Account Directors with enthusiasm and energy.
  • Collecting, interpreting and formatting information relating to client business (including historical results data where available), brand consumers and competitive marketplace e.g. MINTEL, TGI, MMS (competitive spend)
  • Undertaking basic negotiation under the supervision of Account Manager/Account Director and head of discipline.

The candidate

  • A basic understanding of media tools and techniques, communication channels, direct response media strategy, development and planning process, media buying/negotiation within guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills – evaluation of key trends in response data, market and media dynamics
  • Numerical skills
  • Basic financial awareness to include DDS, Adazzle, budgets:- gross, nett, agency commission,
  • Basic response planning metrics:- response rates, cost per response, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, return on investment
  • Work flow management/time management, prioritisation of tasks within a team
