The role

  • Give strategic direction of online media, liaison with central planners and other specialists
  • Recommend, justify and implement the role of online micro-disciplines in the planning process: display (DR and Brand), search, affiliate, e-mail, emerging platforms etc…
  • Able to understand and articulate the role of online within the broader communications mix
  • Able to challenge comms planning/clients where appropriate
  • Detailed understanding of data and optimisation approach for each client.
  • Proficiency across all industry tools and MS Office programmes (DDS/ TGI, Comscore, Nielsen, Excel, Word and Powerpoint) is an absolute must.
  • 100% accountability for your team’s output and actions
  • Supported by experts in Ad-serving, Affiliate, Search & SEO team

The candidate

  • Absolutely must come form a UK digital media agency background
  • Realistically, at least 5 years digital media agency planning experience
  • Direct Response experience is essential, good with numbers and analytics
  • Strategic & Creative in your planning approach
  • Able to run a team, manage demanding clients, work collaboratively with creative agencies and get the most out of media owners
  • Understand team profitability, efficiency and competent at up-selling agency products
  • Passionate about new media and how this fits within the wider advertising spectrum
