Digital Corporate Communications – Issues Management

One of the worlds biggest and best known PR companies with offices around the Globe.
Looking to staff up their London office, currently around 250 people, with some innovative and interesting digital appointments. They really “get” the digital space and are doing extremely well there, with expertise across all elements or earned media, content marketing as well as the paid side and how the two work in unison.
They represent all major business verticals and work in properly cross functional teams.

The role

The role is responsible for leading the preparation of crisis simulations for clients (with specific responsibility around social/digital crisis preparedness and management counsel).
The role also involes:
•    Developing business and contributing to agency thought leadership
•    Training others in crisis simulation preparation and facilitation
•    Supporting HOD and wider teams to drive crisis training growth – with an emphasis on digital/social
•    Work with the PR teams to create strategic and creative digital ideas – during times of crisis and times of proactive engagement
•    Work with PR teams to provide training in crisis readiness and management skills, and support colleagues as their expertise grows

The candidate

The candidate will need to display a strategic, creative and business-orientated approach to crisis readiness and digital communications, as well as a sound commercial understanding of the commercial aspects of agency life.
•    Demonstrable success in digital/ social media communications (either for clients or in house) – particularly in terms of community management and audience engagement (whether influencers, end customers, or both) in relation to crisis and issues
•    Experience in leading client-facing training sessions, ideally around crisis communications and simulations, and public speaking
•    Experience in reputation management, both online and offline
•    Some experience of owned, earned and paid online media
•    A sound understanding of various web technologies to support online campaign execution and digital content creation
