Mid-sided full service media agency, connected to an agency network but still very much their own brand with their own culture and identity.
Non corporate, nicely integrated across all media disciplines and with a diverse range of clients. A genuinely fun place to work and not the sort of place where staying late for the sake of it is viewed as a good thing to do! They have a good work/life balance.
They are investing heavily in clever digital media people just now and strategists and performance people are high on their agenda.

The role

This role is for a Head of Performance who will lead the Search (PPC and SEO) team. Key Responsibilities:
•    Be a leader of people through your personality and experience.
•    Responsible for the profitability of the team, and the satisfaction of existing clients
•    Be jointly accountable (with Screen) for execution, delivery and outcomes of digital performance campaigns
•    Make significant contributions to the client perception of Walker as an innovative, digitally capable agency
•    Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for performance digital among people with a diverse range of skills
•    Be the first point of call for clients’ performance questions – offer solution to the challenge, not just information
•    Bring fresh ideas to clients, and sell them in persuasively, connecting your proposals to commercial effect

The candidate

The ideal candidate will have paid search expertise (technologies, techniques, development of strategies) acquired over a minimum of 7-8 years’ experience. Key Skills:
•    Well-versed in programmatic buying technology and practice
•    Knowledge of social media and PR-style content distribution, and SEO
•    Experience in holistic attribution across all digital channels
•    Have a breadth of knowledge across all digital disciplines, and the wider communications landscape. Highly organised, data literate, and able to multitask
•    Be comfortable with and confident in presenting either solo or as part of the wider planning strategy
