The role

As the Technical Director you will be responsible for driving forward our technical service whilst still enjoying getting your hands dirty managing accounts and completing client deliverables. Key responsibilities include:
•    Driving innovation within our SEO offering, particularly focusing on advancing every aspect of our technical service and developing cutting-edge technical services for our global, enterprise level clients.
•    Direction, management, implementation and accountability for all aspects of SEO campaigns, including but not limited to, log file analysis, keyword research, technical audits, content optimisation, website structure definition, competition and landscape analysis, content strategy and marketing.
•    Lead internal and external events, training sessions, calls and meetings where appropriate, including deputising for Head of SEO.

The candidate

The candidate must have 3-5 years commercial SEO experience, within an agency or client-side background.
•    A strong understanding of database technologies such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
•    A good understanding of systems administration and server technologies such as Ubuntu, CentOS or Fedora.
•    Significant experience with a number of content management systems, such as WordPress, Drupal, Adobe CQ, Sharepoint, Umbraco or Expression Engine.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript and either PHP, JSP, ASP or .NET
